Anti-terrorist control ______________________________________
Control of terror is a rare security measure as it is applied to targets where the terrorist threat is significant (airports, nuclear plants, military units, central administration, critical infrastructure etc.). The main purpose of anti-terrorist control is to detect weapons and / or explosives introducing attempts in the target under surveillance.
The most common anti-terrorist controls are:
use of trained dogs and more recently, the bees
carrier detection by detecting metal weapons at the gates with metal detectors and handheld metal detectors;
detect weapons and explosives in baggage, parcels, envelopes, by X-ray spectrometry inspection, fluorescent chemical or nuclear resonance
detect weapons and explosives in containers, including trucks transport inspection by X-ray or gamma inspection
explosives control detection through video analysis, inspection of the bottom of the vehicle by means of optical tools (mirrors, cameras, etc.)
Control of terror must be sized in conjunction with the national system to prevent and combat terrorism, and may be part of a graduated response (correlative to the terrorist alert level).
